to list an event. If you have an event that you want to list, then join the member's area. It's easy
to do and all are welcome to list their events on our website. Our promise: We won't share your
private information with anyone. We hate spam just like you do and we'll protect your privacy.
We do not rent or sell private information.
Each section of the event listing form has detailed instructions. Before you begin, make sure you
have the following information about your event.
Enter a catchy title that gets people's attention.
You may select up to five (5) "Categories" for an event. Make
sure that the most important or recognizable category is selected as the
primary category. All other categories are optional and the order does not make any difference.
The search feature will display all events associated with any category.
Event dates are displayed for each day of the event so that
the starting and ending times and any details are displayed with the dates.
For an all day event, such as a "Holiday", the start
and end times are left blank.
When visitors look for events the search feature works best when all location
information is included. However, some sections are optional
depending on the type of event. Events, such as holidays, do not have a physical address but may be
associated with a country, state / province or municipality. Most events
have a physical location and all location information is required for this type
of event. If your event does not have a physical location, you may
leave blank any section that does not apply.
The contact section is totally optional. You may add any combination
of Contact Name, Contact Email or Contact Phone. You may also leave this section blank. Many events, such
as holidays, will not have any contact information.
This section is for a brief description of the highlights of your event. Think of this as the sales
section where you give people a reason to attend your event. Keep it short and to the point.
This section is for directing the visitor to a web page such as Facebook, where there is
additional information or details about your event. If you have a website this is where
you put your website address. You may also use any social media sites or any valid online
address where there is information about your event. This step is optional and is not
This section is optional but you should use this
if you have multiple events under one organization. Church's, colleges, universities
and civic groups are all examples of organizations that have many different events taking place
under one organization name. When visitors search for events by the name of the organization,
this is the information that the search engine uses to find these events. If you use this section
then all information is required: organization, address, city, county, state / province, country and
postal code [zip code in USA].
This section is for associating your event with another event. Many events have other events happening
within the major or main [parent] event. If your event is associated with a main event it can be linked to
the main event here. A band playing at a street fair would be a linked event to the street fair event.
The association section is totally optional.
Event Display Options
This section deals with when an event is displayed and who is able to view an event. An Open
event lets all visitors see the event information. The Invitation Only setting restricts
displaying the event information to people that have a special invitation code. You will be able to send an email to your
friends and associates with this special code that will grant access to your event. The invitation
setting is best for family, business events and events that involve children.
Commercial [Business] Events
A commercial event is any event that deals with goods or services offered for sale. Commercial events are
shown by zip code [postal code]. You may list any commercial event for free for one zip code. If you want
your commercial event displayed in multiple zip codes then send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
for a quote. We'll send you all of the details.
